Dafydd at DMJ Driver Training works with students at Bangor University every year — scheduling lessons to avoid busy exam periods, picking up from halls and student areas in Upper Bangor and Ffriddoedd Road, and working at whatever pace suits you.

Common Questions

Student Questions Answered

I'm only in Bangor during term time — is that enough time to pass?

Yes. Many students pass within a single academic year if they start early in the semester. Two to three lessons a week during term time is usually enough to reach test standard.

Can Dafydd pick me up from my halls or student house?

Absolutely. Dafydd picks up from Upper Bangor, Ffriddoedd Road, Siliwen Road, the student village and anywhere else in the Bangor area. Just let him know your address when you book.

I've never driven before — is that a problem?

Not at all. Most student learners are complete beginners. Lessons start from scratch with no assumptions about what you already know.

What happens if I have exams or assignment deadlines?

Lessons are booked week by week so you can pause, reschedule or reduce frequency around busy periods. No pressure and no rigid long-term commitments.

Do I need my own car?

No. All lessons use Dafydd's modern, dual-controlled car. You just need your provisional licence.
