Top tips for the Show Me, Tell Me
Know your car
Practice on the car you'll use for your test. Know where every button and control is before test day.
Open the bonnet
Three Tell Me questions require you to open the bonnet — practice doing this confidently before your test.
Use the keywords
For oil — say 'MIN and MAX markers on the dipstick'. For coolant and brake fluid — 'between MIN and MAX on the reservoir'.
Don't panic
Even if you get both questions wrong, it's only 1 minor fault. Focus your energy on the driving — that's where tests are won and lost.
